  By any measure this is anything but a typical year for money matters, which is creating a mixed blessing, with the money gods bringing a little too much of a good thing, creating the potential for some financial intensity or tension. Yet there’s a need to keep things in perspective, for the only reason there’ll be tension is because you've got opportunities you don’t usually have and they are fighting for your attention. With the Sun always spending the first 3 weeks of any year in your income sector there is always a lot of focus on income matters in the early weeks of each year and you've always got your money hat on from the get go. Yet even though Pluto, planet of change and revolution is in your income sector from 2008 to 2024 and you'll never fully take your money hat off, things usually do scale back by the end of the month or occasionally into the early weeks of February. Even then that’s not a problem and more an opportunity to explore more options, for this is not a time of year when you can expect to find planetary activity in your financial sector, over on the other side of the sky and in opposition, which creates the financial tension. Yet this year you not only have planetary activity in your financial sector, the conditions on the income front this year are exceptional, extending right through until March. This goes a step further when you realise who the planets involved are, for any financial tension is coming from a standoff between Jupiter and Venus, the planets of luck and money, one advocating for financial matters and the other for income matters, forcing the other to raise the bar. This is the first time since 2002 that you'll move into the New Year with lucky Jupiter in your financial sector and not due to leave until the 16th July, he’s working to expand your whole financial reality in the first half of the year. This is a massive advantage and makes 2014 a lucky year for money matters. By the time Mars returns to your income sector on the 27th October, kicking off another lucrative income period that won’t run its course until early 2015, Jupiter and any financial tension will be gone, but chances are you'll miss it, for it’s giving you an edge.
